vro disable question

my motor has the vro and what the previous owner did was cut the line or the nipple on the outside of the cowling where the line plugs up. Right under the gas fitting on the outside of the cowling. Its cut there and plugged, sealed.

thats all, nothing is cut or sealed inside and the line is still run from the pump to the block.

is this setup ok? Or do I need to do something inside the cowling?

Joho, that is the way i do it. and unplug the wiring from the vro pump.
