I have read the top secret file, and a few threads, and the owners manual, and I'm a bit confused.

First of all, the reason for disconnecting it: Motor smokes like crazy, and the plugs keep fouling after a few hours of running.

we are suspicious that the mix of oil is too rich.

so we want to disconnect it and run it on a tank of pre-mix 50:1...

From what I read in the manual, it looks like there is one pump that serves as the fuel pump and the VRO pump. OUr plan is to cut the oil line and
plug it close to the pump.

What confuses me is the discussion about disconnecting the wiring. Is there another pump somewhere that would be wired?

thanks,

The likely cause of over oiling is air getting into the gas side before the pump. The VRO pump is probably fine.
