VRO HOLDER/PLUG

I'm changing from a VRO to a single function pump on my 1999 50 hp Johnson. There is a pn 0329661 HOLDER/PLUG on one of the attaching hoses. What's the plug for? thanks

It's for the oil hose going to the vro if you decide to stop using it. You can plug it.
