VRO oil primer bulb

I needed a new primer bulb for the oil tank on my vro and bought a regular one, as you would use for the fuel. Will this work or is there a special one for the oil tank? Also the service manual says to use a 5/16 minimum line for the VRO however 1/4 inch is all I can see in the diagrams on the web sites. Will 1/4 work or should I go 5/16? Thanks

The oil primer line and the bulb are special. Not the same as fuel line. The hose has a yellow stripe and is 1/4" hose. Part number 778707. The oil primer bulb is also special- part number: 5008620
