My current motor, '98 225 Ocean Runner came w/o the VRO connected and I would like to reinstall. Are all VRO tanks the same ? ie; smae size, same connector etc ?
What is involved in reconnecting this system ?
Does anyone have a tank they would part with ?
Thanks, Jim

Re: VRO parts

There are a couple of sizes of tanks I believe. Most dealerships have one or two tucked away somewhere. Just make sure you get the wiring harness.

Its just a plug and play deal. You have to purge the line upon hook up. We run oil in the gas until we verify that its pumping oil (mark the tank and verify that oil is being pumped out after a trip or two).

BTW -- its not a VRO, its an oil injection system.

Another thing -- make darn sure you put the tank where its protected. Water getting in the tank will kill the motor and is more common than you think. A remote fill is a real bad idea.

Re: VRO parts

You need a tank that is for a System Check warning gauge. These are for '96 and later motors. Earlier tanks had electronics in the oil pickup assy and will not work on later motors.
