rebuilt 1993 200 evinrude. vro bulb is rock hard . is this correct? the primer bulb for the gas to the engine never gets and stays hard yet the engine runs ok. problem is it uses a lot of oil. I am still trying to find to find an air leak in the fuel line. any ideas?

Re: vro primer bulb

My vro primer bulb is always hard. The manual states never to prime it unless you disconnect the line.
I have to prime the fuel bulb after it sits for a while(1day).
How are you gauging the oil consumption. 50:1 is 50 gal of gas to 1 gal. oil.
If you think you have an air leak in the fuel line you would also have a fuel leak.

engine is running rich ( excessive smoke ) I also lose the prime bulb while running ( engine never stops )Oil consumption is about 25 to one. can't you have an air leak without a fuel leak?
