I went and purchased a 1996 stratos 278 with a 1990 150 HP outboard motor. My question is on the vro pump. when ever i squeeze the ball on either the fuel side or the oil side, oil and/or fuel will come of between the electronic alarm circuitry and the oil pump system. i am sure that it is not suppose to do that. but i cannot find anywhere that says that there should be anytype of seel there. also the engine seems to fine until i give if full throttle and then it just seems like it may be sucking more air then anything and just kills the engine. if anyone can, does it seem like i need to invest in a new vro pump for 400 dollars, or just get a fuel only pump and bypass the vro pump, and mix the gas my self. and suggestions would greatly be appreciated
