Hi just wondering if anyone had any ideas?150 1997 ocean pro.The fuel side of the VRO isnt pumping, but the oil side is working fine.Tested for air leaks, diaphram cracks you name it i tested it.Took the pump over to my brothers house and put the pump on his VRO 70hp johnson.Bloody thing worked fine.Any ideas???? HOw could it work on his motor and not mine. The compression on my 150 is 100psi and 140psi on his 70hp.

Hi,if the crank case had a leak compression would be down i think.Might be a leak at the pulse limiter though. The hose coming of it to the pump pulls of really easy.I will put a hose clamp on and try that.Thank you, gives me something more to test.Any more ideas would be appreciated.

Reeldutch has the best idea and the loose hose would be it.

Does the balance of the gasoline hose have any air leaks? You might connect a portable tank and fuel line directly to the OMS pump, bypassing the current tank, A-S valve, primer bulb and the main strainer. If that works, you can start looking at the routing of the gasoline from tank to OMS pump and find the air leak.

Good link there. If i pumps oil and fills the carbies with oil wouldnt that mean the pump is working.I get a constant click and the motor smokes real bad till it snuffs out.I can keep it running if i squeeze primer bulb.I have used a different tank and still the same.Must be an air leak between the connection at motor to the pump?????
