The vro bulb is hard all the time. I called johnson before i found this site. to find out the starting procedure, SHE said one pump would do it when starting it up after it set for a while. my question is when should i pump the oil bulb? And is it normal to be hard to pump? Also there are no beeping alarms, i know the beeper works i shorted the temp sensor to ground to verify the beeper.

The oil primer bulb will be hard constantly after being primed for the very first time. There is no need to pump it after the very first initial prime.

However, it might be a good practice to check it occasionally..... just to see that it is still hard, but do not apply any firm pressure to it.
