I read with interest the fact heavy faq on VRO's. Some of you may remember me as the guy who was going to put twin 35's on my 15' tri-hull. After weighing the cost and power to weight loss of toting 2 lowers around on my transom, I took a momentary leave of sanity and bought me a clean, low hour '89 I-3 60 Johnny instead. I've been to the BRP site, and the other site that has the same look and feel as the BRP site. No names, don't want to draw anyones ire here at iboats. I need to know if the VRO pump is serviceable. Is there any pm I can do on it? BRP and the "other" parts site only list the whole pump as a replacement option. Kinda pricey. No kits look to be available. After reading the faq on an '89 VRO2, I am leaning toward keeping it operational as opposed to disabling it and pre-mixing. Yeah, I know, hot topic. To each his own. Anyhow, what can I do to
insure this piece of hardware stays operational. Thanks, KR

You may also want to read the article below. If I were faced with repairing or replacing, I would replace it, since it's such a critical part. That said, there are steps you can take to insure your current VRO is working properly as described in this article...
