VRO rebuild ????

I was told the fuel pump on a vro pump could not be rebuilt.Is this true?? If so were is a good place to buy one? I was told the cost of a new on was $240 Thanks

I have a 1985 120hp Evinrude. I just place an order with this guy. http://www.maxrules.com/ <br />After talking with him a bit, turns out theres 2 rebuild kits, one for the fuel part and one for the air suction part. (front and back I guess) Will see if my primer bulb stays primed after the rebuild...........

Some company in Texas is rebuilding these pumps for about 100.00, name and web site was posted here once.

Please be sure to let everyone know how you make out if you rebuild (purchase or DIY).<br /><br />Quite savings compared to new.<br /><br />Can someone elaborate on their VRO pump rebuild projects?
