Negative on your last. They mix at 50:1.The old vro's were 100:1 at idle and varied up to 50:1 at wot.<br /><br />If I had to guess what your original failure culprit was ,I'd say fouled carburetors.VRO oil failure is not cylinder selective.

So the new pump is a constant 50:1 ratio when working to spec?

I am just afraid to put straight gas in this new motor until I am absoluotly sure that it is getting the right amount of oil all the time. How much damage would be done with straight gas if the alarm went off and I had to stop and pump the bulb?

10/4 on your last. If your engine is a 93' model 175 hp 60 degree block it calls for QL78YC Champions gapped at .030"<br /><br />Can you post a model number?

I understand your apprehension. And I'd be mixing at 50:1 also until I got this rapid alarm issue worked out.

Yup its a 1993.<br /><br />Hey pwilson,Any chance that just the reservoir tank was replaced and the old tank top adapter was used.Just thinking that another flow problem possibility could be the reservoir vent.

I'll buy a new primer bulb in the morning is there a better bulb than the one that comes stock in 1993 that I should look for?

Yes because my friend only charged me $1000 for this entire job, and I thought myself by just looking at it the top wasn't new.Bored block new pistons gaskets etc.He only charged me for parts.
