Hopefully this is easy, but couldn't find it searching the forums. 89 60hp Johnson, where does the wire from the VRO tank connect? Mine was disconnected when purchased and assume this controls the alarm. Thanks!

Look for some brown wires on the back lower side of the mtr. Should have a connector that match the wires coming from the tank.

Thanks i'll check ASAP, from memory it was just one wire that appears to bolt on somewhere.

Still can't seem to find where the wire goes, anybody have this motor to explain where the electric wire from the VRO tank goes? Easy to see my level but would like to have this connected since I assume it is the low/no oil warning connection. Thanks!

Re: VRO Wire Connection Location

I just disconnected these wires on my V4. One of the wires Grounds to the block and the other connects to a brown wire with a bullet connector. Have a look and you will hopefully find a vacant brown wire with a female connector.

Thank you, I remember a ground looking wire for sure so I'll go ahead and connect that, and look for a missing/cut brown wire

Re: VRO Wire Connection Location

Just wanted to post the final follow up, did find the brown bullet connector near the water plate under the main harness, grounded the other wire and so far so good. Thanks for all the help
