VST Filter?

I have a 18ft 04 Seapro with a 115 Yamaha 4stroke..Can someone tell me where the vst filter is and how ofter it should be changed or cleaned?

every 200 hours or once per year.
it requires intake manifold removal.
if its not damaged intake gasket is reusable.

I am also curious about this VST filter. Recs on this board are to change
yearly but the two Yamaha dealer technicians I spoke with said this is not
necessary and they don't recommend replacing unless there is some issue.
I am all about preventative medicine so would probably replace yearly, but
I was curious how much this would typically cost to have done? couple hundred?

takes 1.5 to 2 hours.
if the filter is badly plugged then I clean and reinstall it.
if the gasket isnt damaged I reuse that as well.

Hi Rodbolt,

My 09 F115 owners book says every 1000 hours or five years in the maintenance chart. Do you recommend the above timetable in preference? If so, I'd better do it! Thanks,
