Still waiting for a response to my e-mails on a won propeller auction, on a well known auction site.

Is it me ? I paid them with the pay-al option, instantly they got the moola.

I wait 6 days no e-mail no natting.

Send a e-mail, " Can you at least email if you sent it or received payment something ? "

Anyone get a e-mail from her let me know, cause i sure as shooting didn't.

10 days ok if she put it on a pony express horse it would have been here already.

I ordered a carhartt artic coat heavy duty with a hood for the older boy, 2 days in my house, from Alaska.

I know they didn't mush it down in a dog sled. But i bet it wouldn't take 10 days, maybe it would but you people know what i'm talking about.

Is it me or what ?

I have never had that problem, but I would worry if you have had no contact from them. Most items I have received within 6-10 days UPS Ground. What shipping method did they say they would use, USPS can take longer?

How much did it cost CA? I just sold a 200$ item on ebay. The paypal payment showed up as 'pending'. On further inquiry Paypal was holding the payment pending either proof of delivery or a positive feedback from the buyer.

It is a relatively new policy for paypal and there are a variety of reasons paypal does this. Some applied to me (the seller) and some did not. I was not aware of this policy and was quite PO'd.

In my case I, the seller, had under 100 positive feedbacks and the item sold for over 100$. That was all that was required for Paypal to withhold payment to me.

Point is, your payment may not have been made available to the seller, depending on the cost of the item and the amount of feedback he has. After 6 days, I would not delay in contacting paypal and telling them that you have received no product and emails have gone unanswered.

I didn't get an Email but I did receive a nice 19P SS prop a few days ago that I wasn't expecting :D

Seriously, some sellers are "Johhny on the spot" and others take for ever to ship things. I bought a couple 800GPH bilge pumps and it took 2 weeks to get them, seller didn't even ship them out for a week

As WiseOne said, could be a paypal thing. I've had 1-2 times when I was sending off a payment and not paying attention, it pulled the funds out of my checking account instead of the CC, takes several (3-5?) days to get the funds into their account.

I can see why they are doing this, just sucks for us honest people. I've seen many $300-600 fishing reels being sold, (Penn, Shimano, Avet) that turned out to be bogus auctions. I'm sure the buyer and/or PayPal got burned on those. For a while I was reporting the fraud auctions, but after reporting several of the auctions that ended normally, I stopped. Seemed that Ebay didn't care about people getting ripped off, maybe they were too buys with all the fraud going on?

Some state they only ship once a week. I've had Parcel Post take as long as 3 weeks before. Xmas is upon us, so volume could be heavy...knkow I've been mail ordering stuff.
Either way, they should communicate.
I assume you checked and were comfortable with their feedback (?).
Fortunately you have recourse using Paypal should something go wrong.

To me, the biggest red flag is the lack of communication. I agree that you should contact Paypal immediately, so that payment can be withheld.

I wanted to see the ad so I could look at the feedback on the seller. In doing so, I would look just at the percentage score, but at trends. If the seller is brand new, that raises concerns. If they have sold a lot of items, but have recent bad feedback, that can tip you off to someone who is rying to sell too much, and can't keep up with all of the communication, handling, shipping, collection of payment, etc.

40 bucks, she has 10 feedbacks all positive.

One said shipping was slow, but did her all 5 stars.

I got like 59 feedbacks 100 percent positive.

Bought a starter from a guy paid at like 8 in the morning and got it the next day around 5 pm.

So if he cares about his customers and wants repeat business he does the right thing.

And i did buy alot of stuff for friends that need it, he also had the starter for my mountaineer less than half price from the local pep boys.

Alternators also i bought from him.

Oh snapped a couple bolts, on starters cause somebody didn't install a front bracket, on the new style starters, sent him a email he sent me like 3 sets.

No he ain't related to me just a good business person.

You can request the seller's contact information by typing in the auction # if it's eBay. You'll get an address and phone number and your address and phone number will be emailed to the seller.

The seller possibly could be waiting for the funds to clear before shipping, just as a precaution. They would answer emails if they were a good seller.

i do at lot of business on ebay. get the sellers contact info. when you do this, they are also notified that you requested it. try to make contact, keep records. if you cannot contact, and no response, do a Pay Pal dispute. i have had to do this on several items, and always got my $ back.

Sometimes you have to be patient with ebay sellers and email them a couple of times. I bought an item from Ohio (1 state over) and an item from China at the same time. I got the item from China first, sad but true. You can always file a dispute with paypal to get your money back when the time is up, getting their info and giving them a call is a much better idea though.

Oh i didn't want to trash another website so i purposely omitted the name of the site.

But yea you people got the name right.

I might just have to ask for the sellers contact info, not replying to my e-mails.

The prop, if i do get it won't be dipped into the water till next year anyway.

The only problem for me was when i received a smart battery charger that was listed as new.

Came was not new, and didn't work. Would have been a wash if i shipped it back at my expense.

But i left neg feedback, was the only time i had to.

Bought toys, that were impossible to get in the stores, and really great bargains.

It's when you deal with some little ole lady in washington state that i find the problem occasionally pops up.

I do have to say it is the worlds market place, sooner or latter what you want will pop up on a auction.

when you file a dispute. pay pal contacts the seller directly, to find out what's going on. then if you end up filing a claim, they freeze the guys paypal account. until your complaint is resolved. he can still sell stuff, but can't get the money out of paypal. great motivation for the seller to deliver.

Tash good idea.

I'm still a old fashioned kind of guy.

If i tell someone for example that they will get so and so, heres the price.
The person agrees to the price, than i would cut my arm off before i don't give them the thing they bought at the agreed upon price.

Even if i lose money in the deal.

Maybe in the next deal with the person i make up the difference, but a deal is a deal.

A quick funny story, my youngest girl is 11, smart, anyway at the start of the school year she asked if i would give her 3 dollars on friday to buy pizza for lunch at school. It's pizza day. Ok says i.

First friday rolls around and i forgot and made her lunch, in a paper bag.

She comes down late, getting ready for school, and the bus is coming down the cul-de-sac, and has to go to the end to turn around, so she says pizza day i say bag day, cause it's ready, and if i got to get my wallet your gonna miss the bus.

She comes home and says a deals a deal, hang on a teacher helped her draw up a contract for me and her to sign.

And sure enough in her handwriting, is a legally binding contract, perfect in every way, dated and spells out exactly what the deal is.

2 copies one for me and one for her.

So i signed it, and a deal is a deal.

Contact Paypal today! They will get in touch with the seller.
Like TD i have been through this before.
I sold a starter, got paid Through Paypal and shipped it the same day.
2 months later the guy complains to Paypal that he did not order it.
Well,he got his money back and i was out a starter and shipping cost.
The guy used 4 different emails and 2 addresses.I did some research and found out one address was his work and one was his house.
I had delivery receipt from UPS proving he got it.

Paypal sided with him and i was out almost 100 bucks and the a@@hole got a free marine starter.
I had every email from the guy that even said thanks for fast shipping and it worked great.
Paypal didn't care and gave him the money anyway.
Seems the buyer is much more protected than a seller...

i agree don't wait. i am very much like you. i have lost my butt, on shipping, when i calculated, and did not verify first. but don't, mess with me, cause i'm coming after you. i bought a 50 Merc, the guy, did not ship, took me a while but i got every cent back. had a guy put a $500 deposit on Jet Ski's, and when the picked them up, paid the balance in cash. bill of sale showed he paid the deposit thur, paypal. he went home and filed an unauthorized payment with his credit card company, for the $500. it took a while, and i had the bill of sale, but i did collect my money. keeping good records, is essential.

Low life's all over it seems.

My dad told me they can take everything you own but the one thing they can't take is your word, and your good name.

So i make sure when i give my word, that i think it over good. And i do what i say i'm gonna do.

My word is my bond.

Never missed with daughter, not one friday, after the first friday, of the school year, cause it's pizza day. Ha.

PS that friday night we had pizza the whole family, so technically i didn't miss that friday ether.
