Can my Kids 8, 13, 16 boys and I share one Wake Board or am I'm looking to purchase one for each of us? Do I have to purchase Wake boards sized for each of us?

This can get expensive.

Thanks.

Re: Wake Board Purchase

Hey man I am new to wakeboarding but we have let 100lb girls ride my board and I weigh in at 280lbs I personally think it may make it easier to get started on a bigger board but I could be wrong. Buy one for you and Let them try it the worse part is the boots are gonna be huge on the 8yr old but it would be a start. They wont be small for ever LOL

Good luck and be safe

OK My 13yr and my 16yr have feet about my size. I think my 16 yr is slightly larger and we could share a board I think.

My 8yr may not be ready for Wake Boarding anyway.

Thanks.

Re: Wake Board Purchase

I'd definitely recommend getting two boards for this range of riders (one for the smaller two and one for the bigger two). Especially when you're new to the sport, you want to make sure you are using the correct size board. It will make things a lot easier and less frustrating. Also, you'd be hard pressed to find bindings that would work for everyone.

Check out this link for some great info on boards and choosing the right size:

Nice Link. Can you post a Picture of your Glastron Boat with Aerial. If we ever get serious into wake boarding Im thinking about adding one to my GX205.

Thanks.

Re: Wake Board Purchase

Running a oversized board really sucks, I'd get a couple sizes. My 5ft 10 and 6ft boys have always had 141-143 sized boards and my wife used to try to use them, she was fighting with it non stop. Bought her a small board her size last year and it made wakeboarding a much more pleasant experience for her.

Plus its pretty so she loves it ;)

As for an 8 year old not being ready, that is the perfect time to learn.

Thanks for the ideas. My son is scared go fast on the tube. This is our second summer with the boat so he will get use to it.

Just tell him that you don't go fast on a wakeboard. My .02 - tubing is a terrible introduction to watersports for kids. Either it scares the heck out of them or they never have a desire to actually do anything because clinging to a tube is so easy.
