I have a foil on my outdrive (se sport 300) and a 5-blade merc hi-5 prop. I can hold speed starting at 15 mph, but yes, I still make adjustments to the throttle. Your going to a 4-blade prop was a good idea, but if you are primarily boarding, you might should have dropped pitch more. A foil or smart tabs will help a lot too, but for me, I did not want tabs altering the shape of my wake, so the foil was the option I went with.
Speed controll, that would be sweet! Some day.
