On some lakes around here in Minnesota, they have rules on how much wake you can create within "X" feet from shoreline. I think that it's a good compromise.
About 42,000 ft from a Shoreline, sounds about Right

Won't be able to hear the Pathetic Noise they try to say is Music either. If they were playing Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Judas Priest, I would be tapping my toes, but not the Fecal Matter that seems popular these Days

I find that music relaxing. When I hear that Fecal Matter called Rap, I want to grab a Bat and start Smashing Things

That is what they do themselves! Always causing trouble or getting shot. Give me the same stuff as Mc tool and a little Ozzy, Nugent, ZZ top, Cooper and such!

Wake boats need large deep water, not shallow small lakes
I do all my boating at Table Rock Lake in Missouri, and it is DEEP, but many areas are not "large", i.e. imagine more like river channels maybe a few hundred yards wide, for the most part. These "arms" of the lake are what is most prominent. There IS some "big water" up close to Branson and the State Park Marina but you NEVER see those boats there...no, they are prowling the 'arms' of the lake at 12 mph, pushing a 6' tall wake that destroys the shoreline, damned near overturns small fishing boats, and can create a helluva jar even in a bigger boat like mine. Last year I watched a fight break out between some guys who were trying to slalom ski a course that is set up in one area of the lake, whilst some deekheads in a surfboat did everything they could to ruin their day. Let's just say the skiers won that particular argument, lol!

Sinking boats always worked, when i was a kid. I did not do it.
Some boats needed 2 sinkings. Always worked out for everyone.

I have heard of Hole Saws being used on a couple of Wakeboard Boats at my Lake. There were a lot of Smiling Faces at the Lake when that happened

In my youth, I had a 10' Jon boat and always out running around on the river. Also worked at the local marina, mowing grass and dock hand for fuel. We had a few hot rodders that enjoyed running close and trying to swamp my little boat. I.made note of the boats and when they came in for fuel, they sometimes left without their drain plug, but I had no idea why or how !!

Relaxing .....well not them particular ones for me but I do know what you mean .
There is the odd rap I like but mostly I only get interested when one of them gets shot 😁

I didn’t even know wake boats existed until now.
I guess I’m behind by many years.
