clean the screens, blow-out tubes - Re-seal gaskets with small amount of form-a-gasket silicone

When I rebuilt my 90 Sport Jet this last time I used clear hose that lets me see what is happening in the recirc lines. There is a lot of movement of a little air and fuel.

Had a leak at the adaptor plate.
I pulled the head and redid the gasket and silicone the heck out of it.
Still leaked.
That's when I applied sillycone around the area where the adaptor plate is.
Put it on thick, especially the area around where the exhaust tube goes through the plate.
That stopped the leak, worked for 7 years until I sold the motors.

Some guys seem to look for trouble where/when things are running good.
Sounds like you need sillycone or snorkle and leave the rest alone???

I’m putting the recirc back together cranking up the idle drilling 1 inch holes in the cover, calling it good and going fishing
