Want to add tilt/trim....what to look for? (1978 Johnson 85)

I want to add a tilt/trim setup to my Starcraft with a '78 Johnson 85hp (85ML78C is the model number I think) for a number of reasons.

The problem is, I'm not really sure what to look for. As far as getting used ones, does anyone know what range of years will work with this engine? I'd like to find one that is a complete setup, with any related electronics and wiring included. I haven't found anything yet, but I haven't looked too hard yet. I see a lot of setups from the 80's and early 90's, but I don't know if these can be made to work with my older engine.

Or would it be better to go with a new, universal type setup? Any experiences to share with these?

I appreciate any advice the iBoats experts have! Its because of you guys that I have a boat that runs.

Look for a used CMC unit ant it will greatly reduce the heartache with mixing and matching parts. I see many of these for sale on CL and ebay Power Tilt & Trim - iboats
