I am thinking of painting my new boat and want to see some pics of roll and tip. Also some good resources on how to do it.

Hard to understand by watching videos only. Requires a little bit of experience, but looks great in the end. Use the motion seen in the videos, but remember to keep as little paint as possible on your foam roller. Do not put your tipping brush in to your paint, only used to "pop" bubbles. If you seen any brush marks from your tipping brush, there is too much paint on the surface and you should roll it out to a thinner coat. These tips would have saved me a lot of sanding even though I watched every video available many times before doing the work. Happy sanding!

www.shipshapetv.com has a video on hull painted using this technique, $20. Suppliers of marine products probably have demo vids, though.

What is roll and tip?

It's the process of boat painting in which you first use a roller to paint the boat and then brush the paint with the "tip" of your brush only hard enough to smooth out the coat and remove any bubbles/imperfections. You need to work small areas so that when you move to the next section, the first section will still be wet enough to blend into.
