i am in the market for a real good condition lower unit. if you have one email me and let me know because I have had a complete lower unit failure on my 130 hp looper. my question is i know the gear ratios for the 120,130,140 loopers are the same in the lower units but is the 150 and up lower units gear ratio different? i know it is the same physical size as the 150 and ups but does anyone know what the gear ratios are for the se loopers and what it is for the v6's.

the gear ratio for the 150 is around 1.85 to 1<br />the 120 thru 140 lpvees have different ratios depending on case<br /><br />V4 case--2.00 to 1 <12 3/4 to 14in prop><br />V6 case--2.25 to 1 <14 1/4 to 15 1/2in prop><br />-<br />the difference in ratio is due to spinning the larger prop.<this site told me that><br />-<br />there is a V4 20in gear case on ebay rite now the item # is 2422743644 <br />-<br />hope that helps
