Re: wards seaking 1969 need help pleas

welcome to iboats dains, if your numbers are correct the normal initial settings for your carb are one turn out from the seated position on both idle and high speed.the seated position refers to screwing in the neddles until snug then backing them out do not overtighten or you will risk destroying your carb or jets.carb must be readjusted under load, after motor is warm. if this does't work i suggest doing a thorough carb cleaning and reassembly. if you need more help, simply reply to your post.good luck.

it worked thank u runs like a champ but the spring that retracts the rope broke so i have to hand wind it but at least it starts in a couple of pulls any idea were to find one of those or an electric starter wishfull thinking

if your pretty hand ,you could take the recoil apart, and inspect it. a lot of times the tab or tang will snap off or it will get straightened out by pulling so many times. if this is the problem you can simply rebend a new tab and put it back together. recoiling the spring sometimes gets a little tricky so if you have a pair of vise grips to hold it in place when putting the rope back on this is helpful or a second pair of hands. good luck

no not the case it broke about an inch worth of coils off the bottom i tried to strech it and bend a new loop but just cant get it to work i think it has to be about the same length as the tube so might need a new one but i guess in till then ill wrap the rope and start it that way
