Shouldn't the buzzer sound on my 06 F150 when key is on but motor isn't running - as a buzzer confirmation? I've never heard the buzzer sound at all on my new Ranger. Pulled it out and it buzzes when put across 12v.

dude, until ya study up a bit. quit
the single engine yamahas for some reason dont self test. they actually rarely fail.
but for a quick test simply pull the E stop lanyard and crank the engine. with the stop lanyard out and engine cranking it will sound the audible.

sometimes, had you hit the horn with 12 volts on some other brands the horn would have fried.
ask and read before leaping :) :)

Rodbolt's right. That is exactly how it works. I know, sitting at the dock scratching my....head...trying to figure out why my Yammi wouldnt start. Thankfully my older brother was there and wacked me up longside the....head...and we got it running.

Thanks Bro'

Hey Hankll,

Actually he said "pull your head out of your...............". In my defense, the lanyard was on, just not all the way. Like you said, I could have had a V-8
