warranty

I have a merc 90hp outboard less than a year old. I got a quote from mercury for a service contract. I also got one from an outfit called warranty experts for about half the price. Has anyone had any dealings with these people? Is it safe?

If it's anything like car warranties get the merc genuine one. Most external warranties aint worth the paper they are written on. My g/f got an external warranty for her car and they refused to honour it at all-even though it was in the contract that what went wrong was covered.
