Re: Was it something I said?

Thank you gentlemen. I realize one of my posts is on a boat brand that not a lot own...Azure AZ210. My other post was looking to cut the learning curve of what to bring on a family boat day to make everything more enjoyable/ comfortable. Do any of you refer to a checklist?

Thanks again.

I've gone back and forth with the checklist and sometimes it just seems like an inescapable, Murphy's Law fact of boating that you will always manage to forget something.

Welcome!

FYI, you posted both of your previous threads in sections of the forum that get little traffic compared to the general section. It is a friendly place.

Welcome, since your counting views I now feel obligated. I don't usually bring anything but a jug of fresh water to drink, 2 to 3 hrs of tube and ski action maybe a beach break on a secluded shorline, then we stop for eats somewhere on the way home, so depending on what your game is the gear varies, some guys have a bbq grill on board.

Welcome aboard the Boater's Forum.

I got no "welcome aboard" either, but got a wealth of help. That sort of welcome was enough for me. The group has been helpful, friendly, funny, and serious. Safety seems number one among most.;)

welcome to iboats--suggest taking a boating safety course-- that will get you started on your checklist for the essential gear. then it's all about what you and your family want to do--pretty much trial and error:D

Yes, the specific manufacturer sections (with the exception of Starcraft) are fairly quiet usually. Boating Activities heats up during the season but is slow now.

Never heard anything but good things about Azure/Bennington. We have a member here who works for Bennington on the 'toon side. They are very proud of their products. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard JP10! Jump on in, the forum is fine!

As far a check list goes, it changes every time I go out and forget to bring something.

jp10, Welcome aboard, this is the place to be for knowledge and help, just ask questions and you will get answers.

In my case when I go out on the boat, approx 1 hour from home to the sound and barrier islands by water, so cooler with drinks, sandwich material, chips, and whatever else we decide at the time, garbage bag to bring our trash and sometimes others trash cause they were to sorry to pick it up, sometimes fishing gear, tube, depends on who is going and what we plan on doing. As stated above, most always forget something.

Re: Was it something I said?

I'll look for a saftey class over the winter. Any suggestions? Can this be taken on-line? Probably not the best option. I live in Md. near the Chesapeake Bay.

Thanks for the welcomes...I feel loved now :)

You absolutely CAN take the course online. I was away from boating for 20 or more years for the most part, and I took it, even though the law doesn't require it if you were born before 1972 in MD.
It's a long course, but you can break it into manageable chunks, it saves your progress.

Where in MD, there's a lot of good Marylanders here on iboats!
