Ok this is a bit of a goofy question but I really don't know what to use to clean the canopy that came with my boat. It's a 16' Glastron bowrider with a 90hp outboard engine. it came with a sort of ugly canopy that fits over an aluminum 2-pole frame. I'm not sure it is even intended for this particular boat but I managed to get it to fit. Anyway it's gotten a little moldy or mildew-y. My initial feeling was to mix some bleach in water and scrub with that. But bleach is pretty harsh and I don't want to weaken this cover. I'm not sure what it's made out of, maybe canvas with a rubber coating?? The cover is white on the outside and grey on the inside. I don't know if the grey part would bleach out. The mold is only on the outside.
On the other hand, mold and mildew is stubborn and if I just use soap it may never come off.
Is there some kind of cleaning trick I could use here that won't ruin the cover?
Thanks for any advice.
