hi i got a 87 bayliner capri cubby with a 3.0 omc motor and i needed to replace the prop but dont know what kind to buy. Can anyone here please help thanks
Hi BBoater4, welcome to iboats!!<br /><br />It difficult to give specific advise as there are way too many variables involved. First and foremost you need to chose a size that allows your boat to reach (but not exceed) the maximum RPM at WOT, you usually would test this with a normal load of people and gear in the boat.<br /><br />I prefer aluminium props as they are cheap to buy and cheap to fix, and there is a large range to choose from.<br /><br />Have a read of this, it will give you a basic understanding of the subject.<br /><br /> http://www.iboats.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000030 <br /><br />Aldo
