Heard about a guy in New York City whose apartment was broken into three times over a year and a half while he was at work.

Bought himself a Doberman to put a stop to it.

Came home to find a burglar cowering in a corner, afraid to move. This happened twice. Turned out the dog would let anybody in, but wouldn't let them OUT.

God was on a good day when He made dogs....!

Re: Watchdog...?

I like it.

Our big old puppy would probably meet them at the door with one of his toys.

Re: Watchdog...?

my brother helped train rottweilers from a breeder/trainer to do that exact thing. they would let anyone in the house, however needed a command to let them out. it takes training usually. however Rots and Dobermans have instinct to protect family members from harm or threat, usually not property.

my current dog would probably bark, poop, and run away.
