wate pump and seals

I'm fixin to replace the water pump on both a merc 50hp and 115hp, I have found the pump kits that are available, but I also see there are seal kits, do these also need to be used, or does the pump kits come with all the proper seals and gaskets that need to be replaced.

corey43,<br />The Mercury pump kits will give you what you need,except for the water pump base,which normally is reuseable.Aftermarket kits ... I don't know.The seal kit is generally what you use to reseal the whole lower unit (prop shaft,shift shaft,drive shaft etc.)<br /><br />DHP
