Hi All;

Bought a Zodiac GT about 15.5 feet long, it has a Mariner magnum 40 HP short shaft...........
anyway at WOT (about 5000 rpm) and around 30 mph...... Water is being pulled in over the transom where the motor clamps on.....I wonder why? and what i can do to stop it?

Thanks;

Motor is sitting too low. You'll need to mount it a bit higher.

Thank You Gents......... you are correct, during a run last night with my wife at the wheel i observed how the water was being splashed in.

First i'll try to move the engine up by raising it 1 set of bolt holes, if that dosn't work i'm in for major surgery :)

Not really. A jackplate would get you higher if need be. There are some fixed plates that are not too expensive that will work.

Such as These
