Pressure guage or whizzer?? Salt or fresh water? Profile??
I'd go with the whizzer.
It's almost free if you have a couple of fittings and a piece of hose.
Make sure that when you drill the hole through the cover it can be seen from the drivers seat.
I believe you can drill either the bottom leg cover or the motor cover. The motor cover may be a little more challenging to line up the pisser outlet every time you remove or replace the engine cover. There are some really good threads on this topic. I looked into it last summer, with fittings from Home Depot I was looking at about 10 dollars. I didn?t actually do it but maybe this summer.
I chose the pressure gauge installed in the gauge panel. It looks like this but mine is black dial with red lettering. If you decide with this search for the kit version that comes with the brass fitting and hose. http://www.boatsupplyonline.com/gauges/10976.html
i think I have it...the best is a pisser to see the water not some gauge....I look in to where to install this....I thought drilling thru the thermostat cover would be a good spot but I guess not..I'll check it archives thank you
Don't drill the thermo cover. There is a flush screw on the top of the block right behind the thermo. You remove the screw and put your pisser tube there. Don't buy a 90 deg. fitting, it won't screw on. You have to go with a straight and flex your tube to the exit of your choice.
