Re: water deflectors

If you went to an auto parts store looking for an outboard motor part, they are gonna look at you like an idiot and tell you they can't help you. I believe all it is is hose, so all you should need to do is take one out and take it with you. Tell them you need x number of feet of that size hose. Make sure you remember how many there are, and get enough for all of them.

Re: water deflectors

Thanks, I got some fuel injection hose with a 3/16 inside diameter, this is a little larger hole than the one I took out. Reading this forum they say you can use this type of a hose. What are the proper positions for the hose to the cylinder wall , I have top cylinder at 11:00 position and bottom at 7:00 position. Is this the right places to install the little buggers?

Re: water deflectors

Also there is only one deflector for each cylinder, Looking at some other posts and I see the same engine as mine but it has two deflectors in the bottom cylinder, How far in do these rubber hoses go into the water jacket?
Does the bottom cylinder have two deflectors in it ? Thanks for any replys!!
