Water drain plug Sx

I finally got the water drain plug removed from my 97 SX drive. It was alot easier to remove with the pivot housing on the bench. The plastic nipple was cracked probably from previous freezing. The plug is pretty beat up after removing and I was trying to order a new one. The schematics that I have found from Volvo do not show the plug, only the hole in the pivot housing that it goes into. Anybody have any previous experience on this or perhaps a different schematic that shows the plug and oring ?

What is the SN of the drive, or even the spec number.

Bummer, that's OMC. Can you find the spec number, it's 6 numbers long if I remember correctly, and stars with a 385 or 386 or ????

On the tag it gives me serial number and production number which is 3868388. Hopefully that is the number that will help us.

Actually, they are in the volvo links above. Just click on Volvo Penta Parts, Then click on "Drive (lower unit). Then the fun part, you have to scroll down all the way to TSK and locate the SX-C model. That TSK stands for Transom Shield Kit, if Volvo's Swenglish (Swedish/English) language. If you was just looking at the drive charts, you would never find it. Without knowing what TSK meant, you probably assumed it was just another model of drive.

Oh I see ! Ive worked as a auto tech for a volvo dealership for 10 years. Ive come to learn much swenglish but as with everything marine there is a whole different type just for boats ! Thanks again.

Yeah, not many Volvo cars sporting a transom shield.
