Simple question I believe. Will it matter if the bracket and filter are mounted higher than the tank and fuel pump? Also is the distance between the filter and the pump relevant to anything?? Thanks for your help!!

Mount it anywhere you wish before the pump. With the exception of,if it is the type with the clear plastic bowl on the bottom,ABYC standards do not allow it in an engine space, they must be the metal bowl.

Awesome. It's the Sierra spin on metal filter. Thanks for your help!

If you mount it higher than the tank, you won't have a 'siphon' problem when you go to change the filter....

Just an observation... ;)
