I see all of these water fuel separators claiming to be top quality some have 10 microns some 12 microns.
What is the difference between a 10 micron or 12 micron what is the better of the 2

The micron rating is the size of particulate that is claimed to be screened by the filter. The Teleflex's Sierra study's claims are outlined here: http://www.teleflexmarine.com/homepagePDFs/usafiltrationbrochure.pdf

All full-sized filters impose some degree of resistance on flow, but it is very important with pre-mixed fuel that the resistance is minimized.
