Took the boat out yesterday ran it for about an hour, stopped for lunch ran it for other 45 minutes?got to the channel heading in to port and while idling the engine started to run rough and it stopped and won?t not start, the starter will not turn. I decided to remove the spark plug after getting home, all looked except cylinder 5, water came out when the plug was removed. I sprayed a good amount of WD40 and tried cranking with no-luck, also tried rotating the engine with a pry-bar, nothing?the engine is seized.

The million dollar question?what am I looking at, complete rebuild, top-end, new-engine?what's my next move...any good mechanic in Miami.

Thanks guys....

With all the plugs out the motor turns or it dosent?
No would indicate hyd. lock damage, piston or rod.

I am confused too. You know you have to remove all the plugs, then try to turn the motor over, right? Just cause you removed several plugs and water didn't run out of their cylinders, doesn't mean there isn't water in them.

So if you removed the plugs one at a time, and re-installed them, and are trying to turn the motor over, you could still have water in a cylinder or two.

And if you have left it in there for over a day, your motor is junk, cause I am guessing that in Miami, the water you were in is saltwater.

Yes, I had removed all spark plugs and still didn?t turn?

I?m screwed?removed the exhaust manifold today and looked inside exhaust port and I can see a piece missing from valve, probably inside the piston.

Just love a good puzzle, better when In have all the pieces.
Pull the valve cover and check if all the valve stems are in place. My bet is a keeper let loose, a valve spring broke, or the valve broke. Either cracked the head, cylinder wall or both.Next step is to pull the head and inspect.
