water in cylinder problem?

winterizing 75 -70hp with fuel stabilizer in 1-2 qts leftover summer gas using muffs. After 2-3 min engine just stopped, turned over but wouldn't restart. Started to crank hard and intermitent. Charged battery no change in cranking. Left it a couple days, cranked ok but no start. Thought maybe water in gas. Plugs wet, top 2 look normal flood, 3 looked water wet, full of milky white liquid. cranked with no plugs, no water on, getting whitish liquid coming out plug hole 3. Blew it all out, put plugs in, tured water on, still no start. Pulled plugs, same- top 2 wet, whitish brown liquid from 3. Compression 150 across board. Blew it out, put oil in cyclinders and drained carbs, and put it away till spring. Any guesses -Did I lose a headgasket or worse.

Welcome to iboats forums malfar.....<br /><br />Now's the time to find out what's wrong. Don't wait till spring! To much to do in the spring....like fishin'.. :-D<br /><br />Anyways...the head gasket could be a fault or the exhaust cover gasket could have blown. That much water and that good compression, I would look at the exhaust cover gaskets first. Not real tough to do. Might have a little trouble with the lower bolts.

Find the leak, and get the engine running, in fact! let it run for some time when you do. That engine is full of finely ground , precision parts. That engine could undergo damage in a surprisingly short time from water contamination. If you wait til spring, you could end up with an exact replica of an outboard motor.
