Hi. My dp-c outdrive had some water in the gear oil when I purchased the boat. Milky colored oil. I've taken care of the reason for the water intrusion and plan to drain the drive for a few days to get as much oil stuff out as I can, then refill with 80-90 and run in driveway till engine gets some heat in it,then shutdown and drain drive for a few hours and repeat till clean oil comes out, then refill with marine gearoil.

That sounds like overkill but I cant see anything against it. If it's only milky and no actual water comes out, I usually just drain and refill.
