hi all, 88 OMC 3.0, after a week on the lake noticed what i thought was water in out drive oil.(choc. milk), also, when I pulled the dip stick, a little gyser of oil shot out (obviously more fluid then when I started) Drained it, refilled (cheap WM oil) Took it for a quick run, and it looked milky again, although the oil was a wierd yellow color to start. So, I take it to the shop, they pressure test @15psi for an Hr... no loss of pressure. My ? ; is there any other way for water to get in to the drive system and still show good pressure???
Thanks for any ideas, Gary

Sometimes they will only leak when moving, especialy the shaft seals.

1) Turn the shaft while under pressure.

2) You need to pull a vacuum test as well. Each shaft has two seals. One keeps oil in, the other keeps water out.

mine would hold 20 psi or a vacuum overnight. yet it took on serious water. A speedy sleeve on the outer seal area of the propshaft was the fix ultimately on mine.
