Water in fuel

Yes...I'm new to boating and I have to learn the HARD-WAY !!
I left the tank vent open on my portable tank. I think it rained for 40 days and 40 nights, and probably the old bulb in the gas line didn't help.
Of course, none of this mattered when the rain stopped, only wanted to fish !
My 40 hp Force sucked in that inflamable liquid nicely.
Well, I've disposed of the gas, bought a new gas filter and gas line/bulb. Took the spark plugs out ( might as well replace them too) and will drain the carb.
Any other suggestions before I fire it up? Be Gentle

I think you've done everything you can, unless you want to tear down the motor and get the water out of the crankcase if it's a 2 stroke, otherwise you've done everything you should for a 4 stroke.

Can you use Drygas in a boat moter? If so, add right to the fuel/oil mix? ( It's a 2 stroke)

Use a product made for 2 stroke engines, like Seafoam.
You can get it at NAPA, Carquest, AutoZone, etc.
