water in lower unit

1983 johnson 115 what seal and gaskets do i need minus the seals behind the prop to keep water outta my unit thanks in advance.

I would replace the gaskets on the vent and drain plugs first, before you go through the time and expense of resealing everything. If it still leaks after that, then you may also need prop shaft seals, as well the upper seal.:cool:

i replaced the seals behind the prop the two with springs in them. Vent seal?

yes, it's the upper plug, which is identical to the drain plug. These have been known to let water in too.:cool:

Try another change of oil in it and see if water still gets in. If it does, then I would go a little further with it and change the seals that haven't been changed yet.:cool:
