WATER IN OIL.......BUT HOW

HELLO EVERYONE, I HAVE A 1972 VOLVO PENTA AQ170/270 I/O THIS IS A STRAIGHT 6. THE PROBLEM IS I RAN THE ENGINE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS YEAR AND ALL WAS FINE THEN THE NEXT DAY I HAD THE WHITE GREASE LIKE COATING ON THE OIL CAP AND ROCKERS AS WEL AS COATING THE DIPSTICK. ON TO MY QUESTION I HAVE BEEN USING A HOSE WHEN RUNNING THE MOTOR AND WANDER IF THE WATER PRESSURE IS FORCING BY THE SEALS, IT SEAMS AS THOUGH I CAN NEVER GET THE COOLING SYSTEM TO WORK CORRECTLY WITH THE HOSE, EITHER THE WATER DOSENT WANT TO COME OUT OF THE EXHAUST CAUSING THE TEMP TO GET TO HOT OR WATER IN THE OIL NOW, IS THERE A BETTER WAY TO FLUSH THE MOTOR? AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? AND LASTLY WHAT SHOULD I DO ABOUT THE OIL IS ONE CHANGE ENOUGH, OH AND I HAVE BEEN USING SYNTHETIC OIL ANY THOUGHTS ON IF THIS IS APPROPRIATE FOR MY MOTOR. <br /> THANKS FOR ANY HELP<br /> IT IS VERY APPRECIATED. exhaust manifolds & or risers need to be looked at. pull em & have em pressure tested.

How much water is in your oil? Are the dip stick and under valve cover being white the only signs?Ive seen this happen with condensation.Dont give up hope.

Also synthetic oil is not necessary your engine has been fine with conventional oil since 1972.Save your money.
