water in oil on lower unit 1974 70 hp evinrude

I had water in my lower unit and oil leaking from bearing housing assembly area. so i decide to remove lower unit and replace seals and gaskets. i have a 1974 70 hp evinrude model 70473 m. I cant figure out how to remove the bearing housing assembly. Ive tried heating it up not sure if it has snap ring on something holding it or does it twist to remove. Does someone know i would appreciate it. Thanks
