Water in oil

A friend just bought this motor and boat combo.
The boats a 2021 got it home and doing "stuff" to his new toy, he realized there was water in the oil
Anything he should look for or suggestions?? Any kind of help would be great.

Remove all spark plugs. Crank engine for 2 seconds. Drain ALL the oil out. Oil filter, change it. Do at least a full warm up after each change Look at each sparkplug for water and or rust marks.

Change the thermostats and make sure he runs the motor up to temp.

What exactly lead him to believe there is water in the oil?? What was on the dipstick?? Charlie
