Nope, its a bottom seal issue. There is a balance line that runs between number 1 and 6. When the seal on the crankshaft lets go it allows water into number 6 and to a lesser extent (via the balance tube) into number 1.<br /><br />You need to remove the powerhead and replace the bottom seals. Its actually an easy job. Remove the horseshoe shaped cowl at the top of the midsection and then the 8 nuts that hold the powerhead.<br /><br />Undo all relevant electrical connections on the powerhead and lift entire unit off. Once you are used to doing this it takes about 15-20 minutes from start to finish!!<br /><br />Dig out the old seals and if the crankshaft is ok then replace with new seals. You can actually fit three on the shaft instead of two. If the shaft is scored (most likely) then order a speedy sleeve and fit that on the crankshaft and then fit three new seals.<br /><br />Then you should be back in business...<br /><br />Cheers,<br /><br />Nicholas
