Water in Trim pump, oil is milk

First an update, I stopped the leaking trim cylinder fitting. Teflon tape. No, I don't plan to leave it like that forever, just until I have the original Merc Cyl rebuilt. But now I gots water in the trim pump. What do I gotta do to get rid of it? Will I need to remove the pump itself and clean it out real good or can I just unhook the outside lines and drain it?

Drain or suck out what you can, refill cycle the pump to purge the lines/rams, re do a few times until all is good.
