Water Inside Hull

I last week I posted a thread about water getting into the hull (approx. 60 - 80 Litres in two hours). <br />I filled up some water in the hull with the drain plug connected and the bow tilted upwards, and water started dripping from the back. I noticed that both plug housings were cracked. so I purchased new onces and fitted them...the dripping has stopped.<br />I also checked under the boat for cracks, all seems ok.....I'm glad I haven't stayed fishing overnight yet since I only bought the boat recently...I could've sunk....<br />Thank you guys for the response I received. That's some good news!<br /><br />So, do you have a bilge pump installed and working?

Actually, I went to buy one, but i was advised to plan how and where it's gonna fit, then come back and buy one...so I know how it's gonna fit now and I should have one installed before my next outing....

hehehe, i have to add to this. 2nd time out in my new boat i had been fishing for about 1hr and remembered i hadnt put my bungs in. it took the whole hull i recon. The next time i went out i remembered to put the bungs in. Only to find on the way back in i couldnt plane. WOT less than 10kms per hour. what was going on?? Once onto the trailer i took out my bungs. well water spurted out for 40mins. The hull was full again. after investigating straight away, i noticed two cracks in my hull both about 2 inches long right at a stress point in the hull. There was my problem. I have epoxied it up short term untill my full restoration project in april. My floor looks good, but im still going to check whats under the floor ( maybe nothing )<br /><br />cheers
