water intake screen

Is the water intake screen
made of some special material? I need to replace mine. I believe the lack of part of it is clogging my water pump

If it is broken it very well may be causing water starvation to the pump. Water goes right past it instead of being directed into the pump inlet. I need one too. Happens to all of us sooner or later.
