Thanks for taking time to read this post. I noticed this weekend after putting my boat on the trailer water was coming from where it normally does not. It is steaming hot and appears be coming from the center bolt on the lower unit (Alpha) I have tried to get info from the web on what it might be but thought I would ask some experts. Boat (Propeller) does not slip at lower speeds. See video I took of water leaking from alpha here. https://youtu.be/bIsYBU_JibY I am taking it in to be looked at, but don't want the shop telling me it is something catastrophic when it could just be a something simple like a seal

interesting, have not seen that before.... no doubt seal failure from your raw water pump/ tube to the engine... likely a minor fix.. drain drive oil and reload and your on your way I suspect..

Welcome to iBoats! First thing, you should never run your engine with the drive up like that. It ends up tearing up the u-joints to have them so far out of range. The CV Joint can beat up the bellhousing as well.

Your video doesn't show, but is the normal amount of water coming out of the bypass ports on each side of the transom?

There is no gaskets or anything between where the water comes out and the exhaust and water going through the outdrive. If your drive is down where it belongs it probably won't leak there unless there is some sort of blockage in the exhaust passageway. Or the little exhaust dam that is in there has fallen out or burned away.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.... My guess is it's drainin' outa the exhaust cavities, as that's the only hot water there,.......
